Recorded Music Manager
Job Summary
The salary for this full time, fixed term contract is circa £42,000.
We are seeking a innovative and creative Recorded Music Manager to devise and lead campaigns across the War Child catalogue of owned and in support of music releases on a 12-month fixed term contract. This role requires a passion for music, direct experience of music marketing in the digital age, and the ability to deliver innovative campaigns that drive engagement, revenue, and fan growth. As part of the Music team, you will work closely with the Head of Music to utilise our recorded music catalogue to bring new and existing audiences to War Child across multiple platforms.

Your Role
As our Recorded Music Manager, you will lead the release and campaign strategy for the War Child Records catalogue of music and a number of albums and singles released by other labels supporting War Child. You will ensure these releases reach new and existing audiences across digital and physical formats to generate vital funds to support children affected by conflict around the world. You will oversee creative, commercially focused campaigns that celebrate the music, connect with fans, and deliver War Child’s mission.
Your Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Head of Music to develop and deliver the strategy for recorded music at War Child UK including budget management, catalogue campaign management and developing new release opportunities
- Work closely with Head of Music and relevant stakeholders to develop and deliver any new recorded music projects in line with War Child’s music strategy
- Work closely with the Communications and Campaigns team to develop and deliver bespoke campaigns for the War Child catalogue of releases across physical and digital repertoire.
- Responsible for managing the War Child Records budget and achieving agreed income targets to ensure financial sustainability and growth.
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of music marketing materials — including managing music, artwork, label copy, through to production and distribution — to support effective and timely campaign execution.
- Ensure campaigns balance strong creative with commercial rigour to generate maximum funds for War Child.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with DSPs (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, YouTube, TikTok, etc.) to secure playlisting and editorial support.
- Work collaboratively with artists teams, managers, media and music industry partners to amplify income and reach of campaigns.
- Seek opportunities to collaborate with aligned organisations that can expand reach and impact.
- Analyse campaign performance across streaming, sales, and fan engagement. Reporting on results and learnings to ensure strategies evolve for future campaigns.
- Keep up to date with latest marketing initiatives, trends, and technologies to ensure campaigns remain innovative and competitive.
- Develop initiatives to engage fans directly, from heritage audiences to new listeners.
- Ensure all messaging communicates both the cultural value of the music and the charitable purpose behind the releases.
- Contribute to creating a culture committed to the safeguarding of children and adults and compliant to War Child’s Safeguarding and PSEAH (Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse & Harassment Policies.

You Are
- An experienced music marketer with a proven track record in delivering catalogue or frontline music marketing campaigns in a record label structure.
- Experience in delivering creative strategies with a strong understanding of digital platforms, fan engagement, and audience growth.
- Highly knowledgeable of music release cycles, music marketing and production processes
- Passionate about music and inspired by the opportunity to connect cultural legacy with positive social impact.
- Commercially minded, with the ability to maximise results from a focused catalogue.
- Highly organised with exceptional project management skills, adaptable, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
- Able to manage the expectations of stakeholders internally and externally whilst building and maintaining long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships
- A confident communicator with the ability to utilise your existing network and build new relationships across the music industry to support War Child’s mission
- Always demonstrating a passion for music, proactively meeting contacts and willing to attend events in the evenings and weekends
- Adaptable, a team player and willing to support in different areas to deliver the War Child music programme.
